Forest Row Fest

Despite buckets of rain, vintage tea, trips to casualty and karate kids, the Fool Effect executed yet another blistering show. A soggy but enthusiastic audience contributed to the event by sharing their extraordinary, heartwarming and simply bizarre tales from everyday life. The remaining 4 Fools found themselves playing in a mossy world of disappearing cars, grannies, rugby and bedside bombs. Meanwhile back at the hospital two other clowns await the attention of a nurse...................but that's another story.

Go on tell us a story...........

Ashdown Storytellers Club
Wednesday 4th of June.
7.30pm to 9.45pm

Forest Row Community Centre

You know you want to. And here is your opportunity because lets face it everyone has got a story to tell whether it be about themselves, their long lost parrot or their neighbours from hell. Whatever your story ( and it can be a fairytale or folktale if you prefer) it doesn't have to be funny. We'll do the work. By bringing it to life before your eyes, our fools will get deeply immmersed (that means hopelessly lost) in your story and in so doing find the humour, wonder and wisdom contained within it. Our performances are new, fresh and flavoursome everytime because you contribute that 'in the moment' spark that lights our frollicky improvisational fire. See you there.............................

Rabbit Guru

Prior to teaching at the Out Spirituality Group at St. James Piccadilly last tuesday, I found myself in the company of a large rabbit. He didn't say much but his expression was severe. Perhaps his message was 'less is more'. Or be still and hear the grass grow ( which is difficult in London) Or maybe he was just hoping for another carrot juice? Either way although he took a back seat in the workshop he still had a way of upstaging me. And apparently he's not gay.
